Look, we could tell you about our award-winning this and Michelin-recommended that, but here's the real deal - our chef, Maria Westbrook, just gets it. She's been playing with Ontario's seasonal ingredients for 15 years, and she's turned our dining room into something special without all the stuffiness you'd expect.
The menu changes based on what's actually fresh that week. No joke, Maria hits up the farmers' markets herself every Saturday morning. That's dedication you can taste in every bite.
We've kept the original 1920s dining room intact - those chandeliers aren't replicas, they're the real deal. But the food? That's thoroughly modern, with just enough tradition to remind you you're in a heritage building.

Executive Chef & Culinary Director
Started in her grandmother's kitchen in Nova Scotia, trained in Montreal, and somehow ended up creating magic here in Toronto.
"I'm not into complicated for the sake of it. If Ontario beef is perfect, I'm not gonna mess with it too much. Just make it sing, y'know?"
Head Pastry Chef
Trained in Paris, returned to Quebec, and brought his French precision to our dessert menu. His maple tart's become kind of legendary around here.
"Dessert should be the memory that lingers. Not just sweet - an experience, non?"
We change things up pretty regularly, but here's what's been killing it on the menu lately. Winter's all about comfort and richness, with a few lighter options 'cause we know not everyone wants heavy every night.
Wild rice pilaf, roasted root vegetables, brown butter sage sauce
Maria's favourite catch from Lake Huron suppliers - super fresh, perfectly crispy skin
Creamy polenta, winter greens, red wine reduction with rosemary
Slow-cooked for about 6 hours - it literally falls apart on your fork
Truffle oil, aged parmesan, crispy shallots, arugula
Our vegetarian option that even meat-lovers can't resist ordering
Quebec maple custard, candied walnuts, vanilla bean ice cream
Trust us on this one - save room even if you think you're full
Our sommelier, James, is a bit of a wine geek (in the best way). He's curated over 200 bottles focusing heavily on Canadian vintages - especially from Niagara and Okanagan Valley - plus some incredible finds from France and Italy.
Not sure what pairs with your meal? Just ask. James loves talking wine, and he won't push the priciest bottle. He actually cares about finding the right match for your taste and your dish.
Wine Spectator Award of Excellence
Three years running - not that we're bragging or anything
Got something to celebrate? We've got a private dining room that seats up to 16 people. It's got its own entrance, original artwork from the 1920s, and a view of the courtyard garden. Perfect for anniversaries, business dinners, or when you just want to impress someone.
Maria can work with you on a custom menu, and we'll handle everything from start to finish. No stress, just great food and good times.
Intimate setting, big memories

Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10 to 2:30, we do this brunch thing that's gotten a bit of a following. It's not your standard eggs and bacon situation - though we do have those if that's your vibe.
Luc makes these croissants fresh every morning that people literally drive across the city for. Maria does a smoked salmon Benedict that's become infamous. And yeah, we've got bottomless mimosas if that's how you wanna do your Sunday.
Fair warning: it gets busy. Like, really busy. Reservations are pretty much essential unless you're cool with waiting at the bar for a bit.

Real reviews from real people who've eaten here
"That lamb shoulder is insane. We've been back three times just for that dish. The dining room's gorgeous too - feels like you've stepped back in time but the food's totally modern."
- Sarah M., Toronto
"Had our anniversary dinner in the private room. Chef Maria came out to chat with us about the menu - super down to earth. Best meal we've had in Toronto, hands down."
- Michael & Diana K.
"The Sunday brunch is worth the hype. Those croissants are absolutely ridiculous (in a good way). Bring your appetite and make a reservation or you'll be waiting."
- Jennifer L., Mississauga
Tables fill up fast, especially on weekends. Don't leave it to chance.
